Point Park Harmony Garden

2014-2015
Simon Ellis, Kirsty Fletcher, artist Emila Storm and Harmonix collaborated in a new art-based nature playspace at Southbank in the heart of Melbourne’s docklands. The concept was to create a playspace inspired by the local natural environment and indigenous plants and flowers and then insert bells designed by Emilia Storm in response to the flowers of local plants – including native lilies, grevillea, grasses and noon flower. The heart of the playspace is a gong wall made of wharf timbers on which harmonic gongs created by Harmonix are mounted, evoking the maritime setting in a musical and playful way.
