The Grampians Therapeutic Garden is a series of gardens and pathways created for the Grampians Therapeutic Community. The garden embodies Windana’s philosophy of taking a new direction in life, in a safe and caring environment. Pathways and gardens are traversed as community members walk from residences to the main kitchen dining and living spaces, and to community outbuildings. Spaces in between offer diverse areas to stop, meet and enjoy the gardens. Mixed plantings of natives and flowering exotics evoke a familiar and colourful garden setting. The gardening by residents is growing – as are their own individual paths to recovery.
