Carrum Police Station
Victoria Police, 2011-12
Collaboration with KTA
The police station is sited adjacent to an important remnant habitat reserve called The Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve on the Mornington Peninsula. It was essential that the landscape around the police station blended with the new reserve. All plants were sourced locally, and the new station blends seamlessly into the environment. A special feature of the project is a roof that cascades rainwater directly into a rocky swale at the front of the project site.
