A small project to rebuild a shady pergola in Clifton Hill as a sturdy bespoke and integrated garden element. This involved careful placement in a spatially dynamic brick pavement that creates connections from a house to a rear studio and side gate without formally defined pathways. The pergola is a room within a garden, rather than an object surrounded by a series of paths.
