320 George Street is a wholly repurposed 1960s six-unit block of flats, including a garden complete with established palm trees. The design creates a strong sense of continuity for the whole garden with a sequence of transitions between public, semi-private and private thresholds. The client and the design team (both architects and landscape architects) were unified in their desire to work in close relationship with the existing environment and create a sustainable garden. The result is a lush and resilient garden that carefully weaves layers of privacy and access.
